The Treasury Publication Repository an online system managed by the Ministry of Finance has become a powerful tool for Tanzanians, especially youth and researchers seeking credible and historical data on the country’s economy, public finance, and national development.

Speaking at the Ministry's pavilion during the ongoing Nane Nane National Agricultural Exhibition in Dodoma, Ms. Pendo Kavalambi, Librarian at the Ministry of Finance, emphasized that the digital platform has opened doors for wider public access to essential documents that were once difficult to find.

"The Mof Repository offers free access to reports on national economic performance, public debt, budget laws, and historical government budgets dating back to independence," she said.

"It’s now easier than ever for citizens to download and review these materials using smartphones, laptops, and other digital devices."she added

Ms. Kavalambi stressed that the platform is especially useful for students, journalists, and policy analysts, offering them facts to understand where the country has come from economically and where it’s headed.

"This generation often lacks adequate information about Tanzania’s economic journey. Through this system, young people can build stronger arguments and hold informed discussions when tracking progress and comparing Tanzania's development with that of other African countries," she explained.

She urged the public to take advantage of the Ministry's presence at the Nane Nane Exhibition to learn more about how the system works and how it can benefit their personal, academic, or professional pursuits.

The 2025 Nane Nane National Agricultural Exhibition, held at Nzuguni Grounds in Dodoma, was officially opened on August 1, 2025, by Vice President Dr. Philip Isdor Mpango, and will continue until August 8. This year’s theme is “Choose the Right Leaders for Sustainable Agricultural and Fisheries Development 2025.”

The Ministry of Finance continues to encourage citizens to embrace digital tools that promote transparency, accountability, and inclusive access to government information.
