The District Commissioner of Tabora, Upendo Wella, has urged parents and guardians in Tambukareli Ward to contribute funds for school meals for their children.

She emphasized that access to food in schools is essential as it promotes better health, cognitive development, and academic performance among students.

Wella made the appeal during her visit to Tambukareli Ward as part of a special tour aimed at visiting each ward to listen to and address various challenges faced by residents across the Tabora District.

She noted that proper nutrition is the foundation of quality education and that it is the responsibility of the entire community to ensure children receive this crucial service.

At a public meeting held in the ward, residents expressed their appreciation for her visit and commended her genuine efforts in listening to and addressing community challenges in a timely manner.

They stated that her leadership has been exceptional and has brought renewed hope to the district’s residents.

One resident, speaking on behalf of others, said the District Commissioner has been a true liberator for the people of Tabora.

He added that since Wella assumed office, many longstanding issues have begun to see real solutions.
