Work Minister visits ETDCO pavilion at Dar es Salaam exhibition

The Minister of Work, Abdallah Hamis Ulega, representing President Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan, has commended the Electricity Transmission and Distribution Company (ETDCO) for its pivotal role in developing Tanzania’s transport and electricity infrastructure.

Ulega made the remarks during a visit to the ETDCO pavilion at the Samia Construction Sector Day & Exhibition 2025, held at Super Dome Masaki in Dar es Salaam. 

The exhibition brings together key players in the construction industry, showcasing innovations, projects, and initiatives driving the sector’s growth.

“The work ETDCO is undertaking in constructing and maintaining transport networks and electricity distribution systems is impressive. This effort is vital for supporting Tanzania’s development agenda and ensuring reliable energy supply to our communities,” Ulega said.

He encouraged ETDCO to continue its diligent efforts and to actively publicize its achievements so that citizens fully recognize the company’s contribution to strengthening the national power sector.

ETDCO has been at the forefront of delivering high-quality infrastructure, playing a key role in expanding the electricity network to urban and rural areas alike. 

The company’s projects support the government’s goal of ensuring sustainable and reliable energy access for all Tanzanians.

The Samia Construction Sector Day & Exhibition provides a platform for stakeholders, including government agencies, private companies, and development partners, to share knowledge, foster collaborations, and showcase best practices in the construction industry.
