The Tanzania Trade Development Authority (TanTrade) has unveiled significant upgrades to the 49th edition of the Dar es Salaam International Trade Fair, popularly known as Sabasaba.

During a press briefing on the fair’s opening today, TanTrade’s Director General, Ms. Latifa M. Khamis, outlined the enhancements aimed at improving visitor experience and operational efficiency.

Key improvements include a revamped system for allocating exhibition booths, streamlined ticketing procedures, and an upgraded payment platform for vehicle parking fees.

Furthermore, in collaboration with Tanzania Posts Corporation (Posta), TanTrade has introduced a cost-effective internal transportation service within the fairgrounds.

This service is designed to help visitors easily transport their purchases and goods from the exhibition site to their homes, addressing one of the major challenges faced by attendees in previous years.

The press conference took place at TanTrade’s offices situated at the Mwalimu Julius Nyerere Exhibition Grounds along Kilwa Road in Dar es Salaam.

Ms. Khamis expressed optimism that these innovations will enhance the overall fair experience, attract more local and international participants, and promote trade development in Tanzania.
