As Tanzania marks the annual Public Service Week at Chinangali Park in Dodoma, the Ngorongoro Conservation Area Authority (NCAA) has seized the moment to highlight its rich tourism attractions to both local visitors and key stakeholders attending the Ministry of Natural Resources and Tourism pavilion.

The NCAA exhibition stand attracted a diverse audience, including residents from Dodoma and other regions, who were eager to deepen their understanding of the authority’s efforts in tourism promotion, wildlife conservation, and community development.

The crowd showed particular enthusiasm for iconic sites within the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, such as the breathtaking Ngorongoro Crater, the ancient Laitole footprints, Olduvai Gorge, Empakai Crater, and the unique shifting sands.

Joseph Mzaga, Tourism Officer in the NCAA’s Tourism Services and Marketing Department, emphasized the importance of the Public Service Week platform in fostering collaboration with various stakeholders while raising public awareness about Ngorongoro’s tourism offerings.

“This event has brought together a wide range of visitors, many of whom expressed a keen interest in learning about the logistics of visiting Ngorongoro, including entry fees, access routes, and other essential travel information,” Mzaga explained.

“Our goal is to equip tourists with all necessary details to ensure they have a well-prepared and enjoyable visit.”he added

Among the visitors was Dodoma resident, Agatha Antony, who described the exhibition as instrumental in helping her and her colleagues from Pharma Africa plan their upcoming trip to Ngorongoro.

She highlighted that the information received on entrance fees, transport options, and pre-trip considerations will enable better planning and increase their enthusiasm for the journey.

“Today’s visit to the NCAA stand has been very informative. We now have clear insights into the costs, transport arrangements, and key attractions we intend to explore. This knowledge will help us organize a smooth and memorable trip,” said Agatha.

Public Service Week is observed nationwide from June 16 to 23 each year to honor the vital role public servants play in national development.

This year’s celebrations focus on the theme, “Promote the Use of Digital Systems to Enhance Access to Information and Encourage Accountability,” aligning with the government’s push towards digitization for improved service delivery.
