Dar es Salaam – KIUT and JKT are set to face off in a decisive semi-final showdown tomorrow in the Dar es Salaam Regional Women’s Volleyball League, with the winner earning a coveted spot in the final.
The match, to be played at Kampala Grounds in Dar es Salaam, will determine who advances to face the Tanzania Ports Authority (TPA) team in the championship match, also scheduled for tomorrow at the same venue.
Both teams have won one game each in the best-of-three semi-final series, making tomorrow’s encounter the crucial decider.
Speaking ahead of the match, KIUT head coach Said Alhaji expressed confidence in his team’s readiness and determination to reach the final.
“We lost the first match, but we came back strong in the second. Now everything comes down to this final game,” Alhaji told The Respondent Online. “We know JKT will be well-prepared, but so are we. I believe in my players and their ability to execute our game plan.”
Alhaji added that his squad has been working hard in training and is motivated to make it to the final for the first time in their league history.
In the men’s category, JKT will play against TPA in the third-place playoff match, also scheduled for tomorrow.
The Dar es Salaam Regional Volleyball League has drawn strong attention this year, showcasing growing talent and fierce competition in both the men's and women’s divisions.
