Simba SC is gearing up to take on JKT Tanzania in the NBC Tanzania Premier League match scheduled for tomorrow at the Meja General Isamuhyo Stadium in Dar es Salaam.
The Reds head into the clash with confidence, having recently defeated Mashujaa FC 2-1. Meanwhile, JKT Tanzania will be aiming to bounce back after a narrow 3-2 loss to Tanzania Prisons in their last outing.
Speaking ahead of the encounter, coaches and players from both sides shared their insights and level of preparedness.
Simba Assistant Coach Seleman Matola confirmed that the squad is in good shape, with no injuries reported, and the team has been in camp to fine-tune their tactics.
“Our preparations have gone well. We’ve focused on improving our finishing because, in recent games, we’ve created chances but failed to convert them. That’s something we’ve worked hard to address,” said Matola.
He acknowledged the strength of the opposition, stating, “JKT is a solid team with experienced players and a good technical bench. It won’t be an easy game.”
Matola also praised the high team spirit among his players and urged Simba fans to come out in numbers and support the team.
Simba defender David Kameta echoed his coach's sentiments, stating that the players are mentally and physically prepared.
“We know it won’t be an easy game. JKT is a good side with a capable coach, but we’re ready to fight for all three points and we’ll stick to the coach’s instructions,” Kameta said.
On the other side, JKT Tanzania’s Assistant Coach Raymond Dotto said his team is approaching the match with a detailed plan to counter Simba's strengths.
“In the first leg, we lost to Simba on penalties. We respect them as a top club with quality and experienced players, but every game has its own strategy,” Dotto explained.
JKT defender Hassan Kapalata emphasized the importance of the match, noting that each player understands what is at stake.
“We know how crucial this match is. Everyone needs to stay focused and play at their best. We’re going in with caution and determination, aiming for a positive result,” said Kapalata.
