Young Africans SC (Yanga) are set to travel to Manyara tomorrow ahead of their NBC Premier League encounter against Fountain Gate, scheduled for April 21 at the Tanzanite Stadium in Kwaraa, Manyara Region.
The reigning champions head into the fixture buoyed by their dominant 5-0 victory over Fountain Gate in the first-round match held at the KMC Complex in Dar es Salaam.
Yanga’s Media and Communications Manager, Ally Kamwe, confirmed that preparations are in full swing, with the players determined to secure maximum points.
“Our objective is to finish the season strongly. The remaining matches are crucial, and we are working hard to ensure we get positive results,” Kamwe said.
He emphasized that this is not the time for complacency, adding: “We must approach every match with seriousness. Every game counts in our quest to close the season on a high.”
Kamwe also called on Yanga supporters from across the country to come out in large numbers to rally behind the team and boost the players' morale.
Meanwhile, Fountain Gate’s Media Officer, Issa Liponda, said his side is intensifying preparations to challenge Yanga and aim for a home victory.
“We are grateful to have gained an extra day of preparation. We intend to use it wisely to enhance our performance and make the most of our home advantage,” said Liponda.
