Yanga SC is set to face Fountain Gate FC tomorrow in a highly anticipated match at the Tanzanite Stadium in Kwaraa, Manyara Region.
Speaking to journalists on April 20, 2025, both teams' coaches and players shared their preparations and expectations ahead of the match.
Yanga Head Coach Miloud Hamdi said his team is well-prepared and determined to secure positive results in order to maintain a winning streak.
“I have players who are talented and understand the system. If they stick to the plan, we will win,” Hamdi stated. “We must remain focused and conduct tactical meetings to prepare well. If the players fully understand the game system, they’ll win many matches.”
However, Hamdi confirmed that some of his key players are currently injured, including Khalid Aucho and Stephane Aziz Ki, who is nursing a long-term injury. Pacome Zouzoua is also not yet fully fit, while Fiston Mayele Musonda is experiencing minor pain, but the coach stressed they will not take any risks with his health.
“I respect all my players. I believe in giving every player a chance to play, and that’s very important,” he added.
Yanga player Israel Mwenda expressed the team’s readiness for the match and urged fans in Manyara and nearby regions to come out in large numbers to support them.
“We promise to fight hard and secure three points. We ask our supporters to show up at the stadium in big numbers,” Mwenda said.
On the other side, Fountain Gate Head Coach Robert Matano stated that his team has worked on correcting mistakes observed in their previous matches.
“We’ve made improvements, especially in ball possession and identifying dangerous zones on the field,” said Matano. “Tomorrow, we are going to battle—it doesn’t matter if the opponent is big or small. For us, every game is a final. While our rivals aim to win for glory, we are fighting to remain in the Premier League next season.”
Fountain Gate midfielder Albano Juma also said the players are mentally and physically prepared and are confident ahead of the match.
“We’re focused on getting good results. Our opponents won’t have it easy tomorrow—we’re under no pressure,” Juma said.
