The Tanzania Darts Association (TADA) has issued a strong call to all darts clubs across the country to formalize their operations by registering with the national body.
The directive, announced by TADA representative Innosencia Massao, is part of a broader initiative aimed at strengthening the structure and professionalism of darts in Tanzania.
Massao emphasized that all darts clubs must complete their registration to be recognized as official and active members of TADA.
This move, she explained, is crucial to streamlining the organization of the sport at the national level and ensuring that clubs can fully participate in association activities.
Equally important, she added, is the requirement for individual players to pay an annual membership fee of TZS 24,000.
The fee not only supports the operations of the association but also secures players' eligibility to compete in national tournaments.
“I want to emphasize the two key issues highlighted by our Chairperson,” said Massao. “First, all clubs must ensure they are registered with TADA. Second, every player must pay their annual membership fee. The deadline is during the national darts competition scheduled for June this year. After that, any player who has not fulfilled this requirement will not be allowed to take part in national-level games.”
She stressed that these measures are not meant to exclude anyone, but rather to help TADA maintain a clear database of active players and clubs.
This will enable the association to plan better, organize tournaments efficiently, and provide opportunities for players to grow in the sport.
Massao further urged clubs to foster a spirit of unity, cooperation, and love for the game. “For darts to grow in Tanzania, we must work together, support one another, and stay committed to developing the sport from the grassroots to the national stage,” she added.
The call to action marks an important step in TADA’s long-term vision of promoting darts as a well-structured and competitive sport in the country.
Clubs and players are now encouraged to comply with the new requirements to ensure they remain active participants in the sport’s development.
