Singida referral Hospital to be completed by January 2027

The government has confirmed that construction of the Singida Regional Referral Hospital is on track to be completed by January 2027. The project is being implemented in three phases and is expected to significantly enhance healthcare services in the region.

Speaking in Parliament in Dodoma, Deputy Minister for Health,  Dr. Godwin Mollel, made the announcement while responding to a question from Special Seats MP,  Aysharose Ndogholi Mattembe, who sought clarification on the project’s completion timeline.

“In the first phase, the government allocated TSh 6 billion, followed by an additional TSh 3.3 billion in the second phase,” Dr. Mollel stated.

He further noted that for the 2024/2025 financial year, the government has set aside TSh 4 billion to fund the third and final phase of the hospital’s construction.

Dr. Mollel reiterated the government’s commitment to strengthening health infrastructure across the country, ensuring that citizens have access to quality healthcare services closer to their communities.

To date, a total of TSh 9.3 billion has been disbursed towards the construction of the Singida Regional Referral Hospital.
