President Samia rewards Simba for reaching CAFCC semi final

The President of the United Republic of Tanzania, Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan, has congratulated Simba Sports Club for their impressive victory in the CAF Confederation Cup (CAFCC), a major achievement for the club and a source of pride for Tanzanians.

 Simba's performance in the competition has drawn widespread admiration, with their successful run to the final stage marking a significant milestone.

Simba’s journey to the final was no easy feat. The club's impressive home performance was crucial in securing their spot in the final after overcoming a tough opponent.

 In the quarterfinals, Simba faced off against Almasry of Egypt, and after drawing 2-2 in regular time, they triumphed in a penalty shootout, winning 4-1. 

This remarkable feat demonstrated the team's resilience and skill under pressure, securing them a place in the semifinals and keeping the hope alive for more success in the competition.

President Samia, in her message to Simba, expressed her joy over their victory, stating that it brings happiness to their fans and serves as entertainment for all Tanzanians. 

Her words of encouragement were a testament to the club’s hard work and dedication throughout the competition.

 “Your victory brings joy to your fans and entertainment to all Tanzanians. I wish you all the best in the semifinal stage,” President Samia said.

In recognition of Simba's achievement, President Samia awarded the club with a substantial sum of money as a gesture of appreciation for their hard work and dedication.

The financial reward, which amounted to millions of Tanzanian shillings, was a symbol of her support for the club and its efforts on the continental stage.

As Simba prepares for the upcoming semifinal, the club is not only motivated by the recognition from the highest office in the land but also by the overwhelming support from their fans and the entire nation. 

With their eyes now set on the final, Simba aims to continue making Tanzania proud as they fight for glory in African football.
