Dodoma, April 9, 2025 – The Minister for Minerals, Anthony Mavunde, met with Mr. Timothy Strong, the CEO of Marvel Gold, to discuss the company’s plans to invest in Tanzania's mining sector.
Marvel Gold, an Australian-based company, visited Tanzania to present its plan to set up a large gold mine in Hanang' District, Manyara Region.
“We chose Tanzania because it is a peaceful country with a great investment environment. We are also impressed by President Dr. Samia S. Hassan's efforts to attract investment,” said Strong.
The company plans to begin its exploration work with aerial surveys and will complete all necessary steps to explore the minerals. They aim to begin in-depth exploration by September 2025.
During the meeting, Minister Mavunde congratulated Marvel Gold for choosing Tanzania and assured them that the government would provide full support to ensure the success of mining projects.
“I meet many investors with similar intentions, but most of them fail to follow through with their plans. I am confident that Marvel Gold will conduct thorough research, leading to a successful gold mining project in Manyara Region,” Minister Mavunde said.
