Several Members of Parliament have commended the Office of the President – Regional Administration and Local Government (TAMISEMI) for its remarkable achievements in effectively advancing infrastructure, education, healthcare, and other key services.

During the debate on the 2025/2026 budget for TAMISEMI, Timotheo Mnzava, Member of Parliament for Korogwe Rural, expressed his full support for the vital work carried out by TARURA.

He urged the Ministry of Finance to allocate the necessary funds to TAMISEMI and TARURA to address the challenges they face.

“We commend the government for its efforts. Over the past four to five years, significant progress has been made, and the government has provided substantial funding to support the construction of classroom blocks and health centers,” said Mnzava.

Hon. Hamis Tabasamu, MP for Sengerema, emphasized that local governments play a critical role in addressing the needs of the people, pointing out that Sengerema had struggled with issues such as secondary and primary schools, roads, and healthcare services.

“However, in the past four years, President Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan has made significant strides in improving social services across the country,” he remarked.

“This progress reassures us as MPs. There is no reason for any MP to fear losing their seat unless there are other serious issues, because everything is functioning well now,” he added.

Meanwhile, Hon. Stanslaus Mabula, MP for Nyamagana, praised the stability and progress of TAMISEMI under the leadership of Minister Mohammed Mchengerwa.

“When we say that nothing has stalled, we mean it. Everything happening now is the result of short-term efforts that have brought tangible benefits to Tanzanians,” he said.

“In discussing the improvement of both primary and secondary education, the transformation is clear. Today, when we talk about enhancing primary schools to meet the specific needs of young children (kindergartens), this is a major and beneficial development for our country,” he concluded.
