BASATA requires registration for managers and event organizers

Jedmon Mapana, the Executive Secretary of the National Arts Council (BASATA), has announced that artists' managers and event organizers are required to register with BASATA.

The council has set a clear deadline, stating that all relevant stakeholders must complete the registration process by April 30 this year.

Leonids Tibanga, BASATA’s Head of Public Relations and Communication, emphasized that this move is crucial to ensure that all activities related to the arts and events comply with the country's laws, regulations, and government guidelines.

According to BASATA’s regulations, artists' managers, DJs, and the artists themselves must be registered in order to receive official approval to perform their duties.

“This registration process will enable BASATA to oversee and manage arts activities with greater transparency and effectiveness. We urge all concerned parties to adhere to this directive before the specified deadline,” he added.
