Simba’s leadership has confirmed that they are left with just 180 minutes to secure a place in the CAF Confederation Cup (CAFCC) final.
Simba’s Public Relations and Communications Manager, Ahmed Ally, explained that the first 90 minutes will take place in Zanzibar, with the remaining 90 minutes set for South Africa.
He stressed that these final 90 minutes are crucial, and the team must finish the job while in Zanzibar. This match holds special significance for the people of Zanzibar, and he firmly believes they are capable of pulling it off.
“For the first time, Simba is playing an international match on Zanzibar’s soil. I am confident that this is achievable, and the people of Zanzibar can handle this responsibility and propel Simba to the final,” Ally stated.
He also extended a message to Simba fans across Tanzania: “We are reaching out to all Simba supporters, wherever they may be. Simba belongs to everyone, and we will reach the final, no matter where we are. This is for all of us. I want to stress that on the 20th, we face a big task ahead, and we must complete it at Amaan Stadium.”
Ally continued, emphasizing that the responsibility of taking Simba to the final now lies in the hands of the people of Zanzibar. He urged them to do everything possible to ensure the team’s success.
“The victory we are aiming for here is a win with at least three goals, and I believe this is within our reach given our preparations. The overwhelming support from you, the people of Zanzibar, is crucial. We expect the stadium to be packed,” he added.
He also called on fans purchasing tickets to do so not only to watch the match but to come and cheer passionately, ensuring Simba receives the morale boost needed to secure victory.
