Vice President Mpango attends funeral of Mrs. Damaris Hawassi

 The Vice President of the United Republic of Tanzania,  Dr. Philip Mpango, and his spouse, Mama Mbonimpaye Mpango, joined mourners in Dodoma to pay their last respects to the late Mrs. Damaris Hawassi. 

Mrs. Hawassi was the wife of Dr. Frank Hawassi, the Secretary of the National Executive Committee (NEC) for Economy and Finance under the ruling Chama Cha Mapinduzi (CCM) party. The funeral took place at the family's residence in Miyuji, Dodoma.

During the solemn gathering, the Vice President conveyed heartfelt condolences on behalf of the President of Tanzania,  Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan.

 "The President deeply mourns with you in this moment of sorrow," he stated. "She extends her sympathies to the bereaved family and all those affected by this great loss."

Dr. Mpango expressed his prayers for strength and comfort for the family, urging them to find solace in the cherished memories they shared with the late Mrs. Hawassi. He also commended the overwhelming support shown by the community. 

"The unity and love demonstrated by those who have come together to console this family is truly commendable," he remarked. "It is in times like these that we see the true spirit of solidarity among Tanzanians."

In his address, the Vice President emphasized the importance of maintaining compassion and togetherness in society, especially during times of grief.

 "We must continue to stand by each other in moments of hardship, including illness and bereavement," he said. "Let us uphold the values of love, unity, and peace to build a strong and prosperous nation."

Reflecting on the life of the late Mrs. Hawassi,  Dr. Mpango described her as a diligent and committed individual who made a lasting impact in her lifetime.

 "She was a hardworking woman who fulfilled her responsibilities with dedication," he noted. "Her life serves as a reminder to all of us that we should strive to perform our duties faithfully and live harmoniously with others."

He further urged mourners to embrace the lessons from her legacy by dedicating themselves to hard work and maintaining good relationships with those around them. 

"Life is a journey, and we must make the most of the time we are given," he said. "Let us honor her memory by being responsible citizens and by strengthening the bonds of kindness and cooperation in our communities."

As the funeral service concluded, family members, friends, and government officials expressed their gratitude to the Vice President for his presence and comforting words.

 The ceremony served as a moment of reflection on the values of unity and resilience in the face of loss.
