The government has disbursed TSh 3.4 billion in compensation to people who vacated their land for development projects in Dodoma over the past four years.
Dodoma Regional Commissioner, Rosemary Senyamule, announced this today, Monday, March 17, 2025, during the launch of the revised National Land Policy.
Senyamule praised President Samia Suluhu Hassan for her leadership in addressing land-related issues in the region.
“Under President Samia’s leadership, we have resolved over 24,000 land disputes, including compensation claims, illegal land ownership, and delays in issuing title deeds. This has eased the burden on many residents,” she stated.
She highlighted the significance of the new land policy, noting that it would speed up land surveys, title deed processing, and conflict resolution.
“This policy will improve land management, enhance investment opportunities, and increase land value,” she added.
Senyamule also commended President Samia for spearheading key infrastructure projects in Dodoma, including new roads, airport expansion, and the Standard Gauge Railway (SGR).
“These developments have significantly boosted land demand in Dodoma, attracting more investors and raising its value,” she emphasized.
