Three top golfers from the Lina PG Tour 2024 have arrived in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE), to compete in the prestigious Clutch Tour Tier 1 tournament, which begins tomorrow.

The competition, running from March 18 to 20, 2025, has drawn elite golfers from around the world, offering a highly competitive platform for top talent.

Representing Tanzania are professional golfers Nuru Mollel and Fadhil Nkya, who secured top positions in the Lina PG Tour 2024, alongside amateur champion Isiaka Dunia. Their participation is part of the Dubai Tour initiative by Lina PG Tour, designed to provide international exposure for promising golfers.

Lina PG Tour Director Yasmin Chali expressed confidence in the trio’s readiness, highlighting their strong preparation and determination.

"Our players have been training rigorously since arriving in Dubai. Their confidence has grown, and they are eager for the challenge. With over 130 professional golfers competing, only 50 will advance after two days. We are optimistic our players will excel and progress, potentially bringing home a title," Chali stated.

Nkya, the team captain, will lead his compatriots in this high-stakes tournament. He represents Dar es Salaam Gymkhana Club, while Mollel is from Arusha Gymkhana Club and Dunia from TPDF Lugalo Golf Club.

The trio is determined to showcase their skills on this international stage.

The Lina PG Tour, which earned them this opportunity, is an annual Tanzanian tournament honoring the late Lina Nkya, a former national women's golf team member.
