The Tanzanian National Football Team, Taifa Stars, is ramping up its training as they gear up for their crucial World Cup qualifier match against Morocco in 2026.
The game is scheduled to take place in Morocco on the evening of March 25, 2025, at 6:30 PM local time.
In a statement made on March 23, 2025, Taifa Stars coach Suleiman Hemedi, also known as ‘Morocco,’ expressed confidence in the team's preparation.
He mentioned that despite the limited time, they have made the most of their training sessions at home.
“Every player is in excellent condition, and there are no injuries to report. The squad is complete, with all our overseas-based players now with us,” Hemedi said.
He further explained that after a long journey, the team conducted a morning session focused on physical conditioning.
In the evening, they will have a collective training session to ensure they are fully ready for the match ahead.
Meanwhile, Taifa Stars player Suleiman Mwalimu acknowledged the tough challenge that awaits them, describing the upcoming match as a battle. He expressed his determination to work with his teammates and the coaching staff to secure a positive result.
“I thank God for rejoining my teammates. We are preparing to face Morocco, and this is a significant match that will further elevate our careers,” Mwalimu said.
