The Serengeti Girls, Tanzania's Under-17 women's football team, will play against Zambia today, March 15, 2025, in the second leg of their World Cup qualification match, which will take place in Zambia.

Serengeti Girls are coming into this match after a 3-0 loss at home in the first leg. Zambia is currently leading with three points after their win in Tanzania.

For Serengeti Girls, it will be a tough challenge to secure a big win by scoring many goals if they want to keep their hopes of qualifying for the World Cup alive.

Both teams are determined to earn a spot in the World Cup.

Serengeti Girls' head coach, Bakari Shime, said that the team has prepared well and is ready to fight for a good result in this game. He also mentioned that the players are motivated to make up for their home loss.

"After talking with my players, they have shown regret for the loss at home and are determined to fight hard, correct their mistakes, and get a win," said Shime.

Team captain, Lidya Kabambo, added that the team has been working hard on fixing mistakes during training. She said the players are in high spirits and ready to give their best to win for Tanzania.

"The match is not over yet. Zambia won at home, but we believe we can win in their home stadium," said Lidya.
