The Dar es Salaam Regional Volleyball League is gaining momentum as teams battle for dominance in thrilling matches played today at the KIUT grounds in Dar es Salaam.
JKT emerged victorious in a nail-biting 3-2 win against Jeshi Stars, while Nyika cruised past Kigamboni with a commanding 3-0 victory. Meanwhile, Wazo handed TPDC a tough 3-1 defeat.
In other results, IP Sports outplayed Best Six with a 3-1 win, while Giraffe secured a 3-1 triumph over Twalipo.
Speaking to The Respondent Online, the Chairman of the Dar es Salaam Regional Volleyball Association (DAREVA), Fredy Mshangama, praised the league's high level of competition, attributing it to teams strengthening their squads, including recruiting players from outside Tanzania.
"This season has seen intense competition, with more teams joining and young, energetic players making a significant impact," said Mshangama.
He further emphasized the league's growing prestige, stating, "We are committed to making this league even better. So far, it stands as the only league in Tanzania that truly reflects the image of a national-level competition."
