The Police and Stein Warriors basketball teams have made it to the finals of the Dar es Salaam First Division Basketball League. The final match will take place on February 15th in Dar es Salaam.
Both teams reached the final after winning their semifinal games yesterday at the Donbosco Oysterbay court.
Police won their game against Mlimani M.C. with a score of 95-78.
In the other semifinal, Kurasini Heat lost to Stein Warriors 69-50.
Both teams have also earned promotion to the Dar es Salaam Basketball League for the next season.
Haleluya Kavalambi, the Director of Technical and Competitions at the Dar es Salaam Basketball Association (BD), congratulated the teams that made it to the final.
He encouraged them to prepare well for a tough and exciting game.
He also mentioned that the goal of the association is to find a champion and help teams get ready for the upcoming season.
"We are grateful for how far we’ve come. We are almost at the end, and we wish the teams good luck as they prepare for the finals," said Kavalambi.
