Yanga SC is gearing up for their second match in the CAF Champions League as they face MC Alger today in Algeria. The Tanzanian side is determined to bounce back from a tough spell, having lost three consecutive matches—one in the NBC Premier League to Azam 1-0, another to Tabora United 3-1, and their most recent 2-0 defeat to Sudan's Al Hilal in the opening Champions League fixture at the Benjamin Mkapa Stadium.
Despite the setbacks, Yanga’s team is focused on securing all three points in this away game. The head of the Yanga delegation, Alex Ngai, expressed confidence in the team’s preparations ahead of the clash. "The team is ready for the battle. We've been working hard and had our final preparations yesterday, and today we're focused on fighting for the three points," Ngai stated.
Acknowledging the challenge of facing the Algerian side, Ngai added, "It will be a tough game, but we are going into it with all our strength to ensure we get the desired result."
With the pressure mounting after recent defeats, Yanga is looking to turn things around and keep their hopes alive in the prestigious continental competition.
