Office of Treasury Registrar 's human resources director dies in tragic car accident

In a tragic turn of events, Mr. Amos Lengael Nnko, the former Director of Administration and Human Resources Management at the Office of the Treasury Registrar, lost his life in a devastating road accident on Sunday afternoon in Same, Kilimanjaro Region.

The accident also claimed the life of his firstborn daughter, Maureen Nnko, plunging the family and colleagues into deep grief. 

Mr. Nnko’s wife, Mrs. Agnes Nnko, along with their children Marilyn, Melvin, and Sylvana, sustained injuries in the crash and are currently receiving medical care at KCMC and Mawenzi hospitals.

In a heartfelt statement, Treasury Registrar Nehemiah Mchechu expressed profound sorrow and conveyed condolences to the family. 

“We are deeply saddened by the untimely loss of Mr. Amos Nnko, a dedicated and accomplished professional who served this office and the nation with integrity. Our hearts are with his family during this unimaginably difficult time,” he stated.

Mr. Nnko was a respected figure known for his unwavering commitment to public service. 

His contributions to the administration and management of human resources left a lasting impact on the Office of the Treasury Registrar, earning him admiration from colleagues and stakeholders alike.

This tragedy has sent shockwaves through the community, with many mourning the loss of a man remembered for his professionalism, kindness, and dedication to both his work and his family.

Funeral arrangements are currently being coordinated by the family, in partnership with the Office of the Treasury Registrar. Updates will be shared in the coming days as preparations proceed.
