Simba SC will face SC Sfaxien tomorrow in their third group-stage match of the CAF Confederation Cup at the Benjamin Mkapa Stadium in Dar es Salaam.

Simba approaches the game with the memory of a 2-1 loss to SC Constantine in Algeria still fresh.

Speaking to reporters about preparations for the match, Simba’s head coach, Fadlu Davids, expressed confidence in his squad, anticipating a competitive game against the Tunisian opponents known for their tall and fast players.

“The players are in good form, highly motivated, and ready to secure three points at home,” Davids said. He highlighted defender Ahoua as a key player in executing the coach’s strategy on the pitch.

On the injury front, Davids confirmed that goalkeeper Aishi Manula and midfielder Yusuph Kagoma, who had been sidelined, are now fit and available for selection. He also hinted at significant tactical adjustments, saying, “There will be major changes to the lineup tomorrow.”

Simba forward Augustine Okrah echoed his coach’s optimism, stating that the team is prepared to fight for victory. “I thank the technical bench and Simba’s management for giving me the opportunity to showcase my talent. We want three points tomorrow, and we’ll give it our all,” he said.

On the other side, SC Sfaxien’s head coach, Alexandre Do Santos, acknowledged the challenge ahead, describing Simba as one of Africa’s top teams. “It will be a tough match, but we’ll do our best to achieve a good result,” he remarked.

SC Sfaxien player Hazem Haj Hassen added that while Simba will have the advantage of playing in front of their home fans, his team is ready to put up a strong fight. “We’re determined to perform well and give our best,” he said.

The much-anticipated clash promises to be a thrilling encounter as both teams seek crucial points in their CAF Confederation Cup campaign.
