The Government continues to prioritize the welfare of citizens and investors by improving access to reliable electricity.

In Ulanga District, Morogoro Region, mine operators have reported significant cost reductions thanks to the construction of the Ifakara Power Substation.

This development has provided a stable power supply, reducing dependency on expensive generators that were previously used during frequent outages.

Mkude Msimbe, the Manager of Ruby International Ltd, highlighted that the substation has transformed operations by minimizing disruptions and lowering operational costs for mining activities in the area.

The project, implemented through the Rural Energy Agency (Rea) in collaboration with the European Union (EU), has enhanced electricity reliability across Ulanga, Malinyi, and Ifakara districts.

The initiative underscores the government's commitment to supporting industrial growth and improving infrastructure for rural and urban communities alike.
