Light Upon Light Summit in Zanzibar set to inspire and unite global Muslim community

Zanzibar, Tanzania – The Light Upon Light Summit will occur on the 12th and 13th of October 2024 on the island of Zanzibar. 

The event is being organized by Light Upon Light (London) in partnership with The Grand Mufti's Office of Zanzibar, bringing together respected Islamic scholars, thought leaders, and over 15,000 participants. 

The event will focus on learning, reflection, and spiritual growth. The featured guest speaker will be the well-known Islamic scholar, Sheikh Ismail ibn Musa Menk, also known as Mufti Menk, who is the Grand Mufti of Zimbabwe.

The summit will discuss important topics such as unity, peace, and respect. It will also highlight the opportunities in Halaal Tourism in Zanzibar. 

This is being done in collaboration with the Zanzibar Commission for Tourism. Halaal Tourism is a sector that is valued at USD 250 billion globally. 

The summit will attract participants from Tanzania, East Africa, the United Kingdom, and countries in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC). 

Attendees will have the chance to exchange knowledge, promote social unity, and explore investment opportunities.

On the first day of the summit, 12th October 2024, activities will take place at Amani Stadium in Zanzibar. 

Participants will listen to inspiring sermons, hear Quran recitations, and enjoy Nasheed performances. On the second day, 13th October 2024, there will be a Gala Dinner and Motivational Evening at Hotel Verde. 

This will be a more exclusive event with only 400 attendees. It will allow participants to interact with scholars and explore investment opportunities in Muslim-Friendly Tourism in Zanzibar.

Tickets for the event are available for purchase online at www.nilipe.co.tz. They can also be bought at various physical locations in Dar-es-Salaam and Zanzibar. 

In Dar-es-Salaam, tickets are available at Karak House in Masaki, Taste Me at Coco Beach, and Kanzu Point at City Mall. In Zanzibar, tickets can be purchased at Poaz Grill in Mlandege and Taste Me in Mazizini.

This event is a rare opportunity to engage with globally respected Islamic scholars and contribute to important social discussions. It is also a chance to help shape the future of tourism and social unity in Zanzibar.
