Kenya is rapidly solidifying its position as a digital and connectivity hub in East Africa, with the docking of multiple undersea cable providers at the strategic port of Mombasa.

The latest development in this growing sector comes from Liquid, a leading technology firm, which has unveiled a new fibre route that promises to revolutionize data traffic across the region.

The new fibre route significantly adds to Liquid's terrestrial fibre infrastructure.

By integrating advanced technology, this route can handle several terabits of data, making it an ideal solution for the increasing demand from various sectors.

From retail and home users to enterprise and wholesale customers, the scalable infrastructure is designed to meet diverse connectivity needs.

This expansion is a boon for local users and positions Liquid as a key player in supporting international hyper scalers—large tech companies entering the African market.

The move aligns with broader efforts to enhance digital infrastructure and cement East Africa's role in the global digital economy, further boosting Kenya's reputation as a leading connectivity gateway.
