Premier League defending champions Young Africans have insisted that striker Clement Mzize is going nowhere this season as he is at the right club to develop himself.
Yanga president Hersi Said made the remarks on Wednesday in Dar es Salaam as he highlighted on the number of achievements and priorities they want to achieve this season.
"As Yanga, we see him (Mzize) as a dependable player for our country...we have 2027 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) finals and I am sure that he will be our leading striker.
"And he is in the good hands that will make him a dependable player during the AFCON finals under our club and so far, many clubs have shown interest to sign him.
"But, we want him to develop, he is still young and has a potential...a certain agent from South Africa brought an offer for him and when you look at the levels between Yanga and the club he wants to go, we are far much better than them in terms of performance.
"We play in CAF Champions League (CAF CL) while the teams that needs him do not and we have obligations to win domestic titles and we are among the best clubs on the continent, currently," Hersi said.
He continued: "We believe that in this environment where he is, he is capable to do wonders this season and he is among the best paid domestic players in the league."
So far, Mzize has scored one goal in the champions league after netting the third goal when Yanga dismantled Vital'O 4-0 at Azam Complex in Dar es Salaam on Saturday last week.
