The Tanzania Shotokan Karate Federation (TSKF) will hold elections for six leadership positions and seven committee seats on November 21, 2026, as it prepares to select leaders to oversee the development of the sport.

TSKF Secretary-General Jerome Mhagama announced the election schedule on October 19, saying nomination forms would be available at the federation’s offices from October 22 to November 18.

The positions up for grabs include president, vice-president, assistant secretary-general, treasurer, assistant treasurer and seven committee members.

Candidates seeking the presidency or vice-presidency will pay TZS150,000 for nomination forms, while those contesting other executive positions will pay TZS100,000. Applicants seeking committee seats will pay TZS70,000.

Mr Mhagama said the election would involve eligible members of the federation, with karate associations and clubs required to submit official letters and copies of their registration certificates.

He urged qualified candidates with an interest in advancing karate in Tanzania to collect nomination forms and contest the available positions.

The election comes as the federation seeks leadership to guide the sport’s development, making participation by qualified candidates and member organisations important to the electoral process.

The federation has set November 18 as the deadline for submitting nomination forms, three days before the election.
