Exhibition to bring together participants from 30 countries, showcasing advanced mining technologies and unlocking investment and business opportunities across Tanzania and East Africa.

Tanzania: The Permanent Secretary of Tanzania’s Ministry of Minerals, Eng. Yahya I. Samamba, is expected to officially inaugurate the 10th edition of MINEXPO Tanzania 2026 on October 28, as the international exhibition brings together mining industry stakeholders from around the world to explore investment opportunities, technological innovation and strategic partnerships.

The three-day exhibition will run from October 28 to 30, 2026, at the Diamond Jubilee Expo Centre in Dar es Salaam, with Eng. Samamba scheduled to preside over the opening ceremony as Chief Guest at 11:00 a.m.

The milestone edition is expected to attract exhibitors from 30 countries, presenting advanced mining machinery, mineral processing equipment, exploration technologies, industrial automation systems and sustainable mining solutions.

The exhibition comes at a time when technology, mineral value addition and investment partnerships are increasingly important to the development of competitive mining industries across Africa. By bringing together equipment manufacturers, suppliers, investors, mining professionals and government representatives, MINEXPO Tanzania 2026 aims to create opportunities for business networking, knowledge exchange and commercial collaboration.

The participation of the Permanent Secretary underscores the importance of institutional engagement in connecting Tanzania’s mining sector with international expertise, investment and technological developments.

Beyond showcasing equipment, the exhibition is expected to provide a platform for companies to identify potential business partners, explore new markets and assess opportunities across the mining value chain, including exploration, extraction, processing and supporting services.

The organisers have also recognised the Tanzania Trade Development Authority (TANTRADE) for its significant institutional support and role in promoting trade development in Tanzania.

The Tanzania Mining Industry Suppliers Association (TAMISA) joins the exhibition as a key Supporting Partner, strengthening the participation of industry suppliers and encouraging greater collaboration among stakeholders.

Other institutions supporting the event include the Tanzania Investment and Special Economic Zones Authority (TISEZA), the Tanzania Women Miners Association (TAWOMA) and the National Commercial Directory (NCD).

Organised by Expogroup, MINEXPO Tanzania 2026 marks the 10th edition of the exhibition, bringing together local and international stakeholders for three days of business engagement, innovation and partnership development.

Tanzania’s Mining Sector and the Regional Opportunity

The exhibition offers an opportunity to strengthen Tanzania’s position as a destination for mining-related investment while expanding commercial connections with international technology providers and equipment manufacturers.

For Tanzania, the long-term value of such international platforms will depend on how effectively business engagements translate into actual investment, technology transfer, skills development and greater participation by local companies in mining supply chains.

Greater access to modern mineral processing technologies could also support domestic value addition, helping the country explore opportunities to retain more economic value from its mineral resources rather than relying predominantly on the export of unprocessed materials.

Across East Africa, stronger partnerships between governments, investors, manufacturers and local suppliers could contribute to a more integrated and technologically advanced mining industry. Sustainable mining practices, responsible resource management and the development of local expertise will remain important considerations in ensuring that the sector contributes to broader economic development.

As preparations continue for the 10th MINEXPO Tanzania, mining professionals, investors, manufacturers, suppliers and other industry stakeholders are invited to attend the exhibition from October 28 to 30, 2026, at the Diamond Jubilee Expo Centre in Dar es Salaam, and explore emerging opportunities in Tanzania’s mining sector and the wider East African market.
