Tanzania is preparing to position itself as a hub for new investment, technology and business partnerships in the mining sector through the 10th MINEXPO Tanzania 2026, scheduled to take place from October 28 to 30 at the Diamond Jubilee Expo Centre in Dar es Salaam.
The exhibition is expected to bring together mining industry stakeholders, machinery manufacturers, mining equipment suppliers, investors and technology specialists from Tanzania and abroad, providing a platform to explore business opportunities and discuss the development of the sector.
The event comes as Tanzania continues to emphasise the need to maximise the value of its mineral resources, attract investment, improve mining technologies and strengthen the participation of local companies across the mining value chain.
MINEXPO 2026 is expected to provide companies offering mining-related products and services with an opportunity to showcase their technologies, establish business relationships and explore new investment partnerships.
For Tanzanian companies, the exhibition could open doors to international manufacturers of mining machinery, mine safety equipment, mineral processing systems and technologies designed to improve operational efficiency.
Bringing local and international stakeholders together will also create opportunities to explore how Tanzanian businesses can participate more extensively in supply chains, transportation, machinery maintenance and the distribution of equipment required for mining operations.
Such partnerships could help strengthen local business capacity, expand market access and create employment and technical skills development opportunities, depending on the investments and commercial agreements secured.
Samamba to Lead Official Opening.
The Permanent Secretary of Tanzania’s Ministry of Minerals, Eng. Yahya I. Samamba, is expected to officiate as the Chief Guest at the opening ceremony on October 28 at 11:00 a.m. at the Diamond Jubilee Expo Centre.
His participation is expected to provide an opportunity to highlight the government’s direction in developing the mining sector, attracting investment and strengthening the application of technology in mining and mineral processing operations.
However, the success of exhibitions of this nature will not be measured by attendance figures alone, but also by their ability to translate business discussions into commercial agreements, long-term partnerships and tangible investment.
Tanzania’s mining sector remains important for national revenue generation, business growth and the expansion of economic activities across related industries. Strengthening connections between mining operators, technology suppliers, investors and service providers is one way to improve the sector’s competitiveness.
MINEXPO Tanzania 2026 therefore presents an opportunity to examine how technology, capital and international cooperation can contribute to the sector’s continued development.
As the exhibition approaches, expectations will be focused on whether participants can use the platform not only to showcase products but also to establish partnerships that stimulate investment, increase the value of mineral resources and expand the role of Tanzanian companies in regional and international markets.
