Gold miners and traders will use an indicative buying-centre price of TZS316,266.34 per gram on October 1, 2026, according to new mineral prices issued by the Mining Commission.
The commission’s daily price bulletin puts the world market price of gold at USD4,210.70 per troy ounce, equivalent to TZS359,393.57 per gram.
The indicative mineral market price has been set at TZS323,454.21 per gram, while the buying-centre price stands at TZS316,266.34 per gram.
The figures provide a reference for transactions involving gold at buying centres, amid continued interest in the country’s mineral sector and global movements in precious metal prices.
For silver, the commission set the world market price at USD61.23 per troy ounce, equivalent to TZS5,226.13 per gram.
The indicative mineral market price for silver is TZS4,703.52 per gram, while the buying-centre price is TZS4,598.99 per gram.
The commission also set the world market price for copper at USD6.59 per pound, equivalent to TZS38.57 per gram.
Copper’s indicative mineral market price was set at TZS34.71 per gram, with the buying-centre price at TZS33.94 per gram.
The Mining Commission publishes indicative mineral prices to guide pricing and trading of minerals in the country, with the rates varying according to international market conditions and other pricing factors.
The latest bulletin is dated October 1, 2026.
