Tanzania courts global investors at AIM Congress in Dubai

Tanzania is using a major global investment forum in Dubai to showcase strategic projects and court foreign capital as the country seeks to accelerate implementation of its Development Vision 2050.

The Tanzania Investment and Special Economic Zones Authority (TISEZA), alongside public and private sector stakeholders, is representing the country at the 15th Annual Investment Meeting (AIM Congress 2026), which opened on Monday and runs until September 9 at the Dubai World Trade Centre.

Tanzania is showcasing investment opportunities through its national pavilion, with TISEZA using the forum to promote projects considered critical to the country’s long-term economic transformation.

The authority said its participation is part of efforts to market Tanzania as an investment destination and attract foreign direct investment (FDI) into projects aligned with the objectives of Development Vision 2050.

The forum brings together governments, investors, financial institutions and business leaders from across the world, providing Tanzania with an opportunity to engage potential investors and explore partnerships for strategic projects.

The Tanzanian delegation is being led by Bank of Tanzania Governor Emmanuel M. Tutuba, who participated in the official opening of the meeting.

Dr Tutuba was also a guest speaker at a high-level discussion titled “The Global Macro-Fiscal Synergy Roundtable,” where participants examined global macroeconomic and fiscal developments and their implications for investment and economic growth.

Tanzania’s participation comes as the government seeks to deepen investment in productive sectors, expand industrial capacity and mobilise capital to support sustainable economic growth.

Through its presence at AIM Congress, TISEZA is also seeking to connect international investors with specific opportunities in Tanzania while highlighting measures aimed at improving the business and investment environment.

The Dubai meeting therefore provides a platform for Tanzania to turn its investment pitch into concrete investor engagements and potential partnerships as the country moves into the early implementation phase of Development Vision 2050.
