Shemdoe leads PMO-TAMISEMI delegation to console President Samia

Zanzibar. Minister of State in the Prime Minister’s Office–Regional Administration and Local Government (PMO-RALG), Prof Riziki Shemdoe, has led senior ministry officials to Kizimkazi, Zanzibar, to offer condolences to President Samia Suluhu Hassan following the death of her husband, Maalim Hafidh Ameir Hassan.

Prof Shemdoe was accompanied by PMO-RALG Deputy Permanent Secretary Sospeter Mtwale and Deputy Permanent Secretary responsible for infrastructure, Eng Rogatus Mativila.


The delegation visited President Samia at her home in Kizimkazi, South Unguja, as she continues to mourn her husband.

The officials conveyed their condolences to the President and the bereaved family during the mourning period.

Prof Shemdoe said the ministry wished President Samia strength, comfort and patience as she and the family come to terms with the loss.

Maalim Hafidh Ameir Hassan died recently, prompting messages of condolence from government officials and other leaders.
