Rhino Rangers have turned their attention to Stand United after collecting three valuable points from a 1-0 victory over Mtibwa Sugar in the NBC Championship.
The win at Ali Hassan Mwinyi Stadium in Tabora has given the Tabora-based side a boost as it prepares for another demanding league encounter against Stand United in Shinyanga this weekend.
Head coach Salvatore Edward said the team was determined to build on the result while working on mistakes identified in the match against Mtibwa Sugar.
“We thank God for the victory, which continues to give us the strength and motivation to keep fighting to achieve the goals we have set,” Edward said.
He said the technical bench was using the training sessions to address shortcomings from the previous match and improve the team’s performance ahead of the Shinyanga encounter.
Edward said the team’s focus was now firmly on maintaining consistency in the Championship as it seeks to achieve its season targets.
“The league is very competitive because every team has its own ambitions and wants to perform well. This makes every match difficult,” he said.
The coach said Rhino Rangers would approach the Stand United match with the same determination as they seek to extend their positive run and strengthen their position in the Championship.
