Puma Energy Tanzania has reached a milestone of 100 fuel stations and additional service outlets across the country, as the company seeks to expand access to energy services and strengthen its position in Tanzania’s fuel market.
The milestone was marked by a gathering of employees in Dar es Salaam on Saturday, September 19, where staff from different departments and locations celebrated the achievement and discussed the company’s next phase of growth.
The event also recognised the contribution of employees to the company’s expansion, with management saying the achievement was the result of sustained teamwork across its operations.
Puma Energy Tanzania managing director Fatma M. Abdallah said reaching 100 stations was not only a business milestone but also reflected the contribution of employees.
“Reaching 100 fuel stations and additional services is an important milestone in the growth of our business, but it is also the result of the work of the people behind this achievement,” Ms Abdallah said.
She said the company had reached the milestone through employee commitment and collaboration across different areas of the business.
The gathering also provided an opportunity for employees to discuss the company’s priorities and their role in implementing its future business plans.
The company operates in several areas of the energy sector, including fuel retailing and distribution, aviation fuel, lubricants, LPG and bitumen. It has also been developing cleaner energy solutions aimed at reducing carbon emissions.
Puma Energy said the 100-station milestone would provide a platform for further expansion and improved access to its services for customers in different parts of the country.
“Every achievement brings new responsibilities. As we celebrate reaching 100 stations, our focus is now on building on what we have achieved, strengthening collaboration and continuing to serve our customers efficiently,” Ms Abdallah said.
The company said employees would remain central to its plans as it moves into the next stage of its operations.
According to the company, the Energy and Water Utilities Regulatory Authority (Ewura) has recognised Puma Energy Tanzania as the largest company in the country's fuel market for four consecutive years.
Puma Energy operates in more than 35 countries, with a significant presence in Central America and sub-Saharan Africa.
In Tanzania, its operations include fuel stations, aviation fuel, lubricants, LPG and bitumen.
