PMO wins top service award at East Africa trade fair

The Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) has won the top award for best service provider among government ministries and institutions at the 21st East Africa Trade Fair in Mwanza.

The award was presented during the official opening of the trade fair at Furahisha Grounds, where government institutions and businesses are showcasing products and services.

Tanzania Trade Development Authority (TanTrade) Director General, Ambassador Ephraim Mafuru, presented the award to the Prime Minister’s Office.

He congratulated the office for demonstrating good service delivery to members of the public during the exhibition.

Ambassador Mafuru urged other participating ministries and government institutions to learn from the PMO and improve their service delivery in future exhibitions.

The Prime Minister’s Office used the exhibition to provide the public with information on issues under its mandate, including disaster management, economic empowerment and HIV/AIDS.


The office is responsible for coordinating government activities and policies across ministries and institutions.

The 21st East Africa Trade Fair is being held under the theme: “Peace and Security: A Catalyst for Trade and Economic Empowerment.”

The exhibition provides a platform for businesses, government institutions and other stakeholders to promote trade, investment and economic opportunities across East Africa.

The fair is currently taking place at Furahisha Grounds in Mwanza.
