The Mining Commission has released indicative prices for gold, silver and copper for September 30, 2026, providing reference prices for mineral trading in the country.
According to the commission, the indicative international price for gold stood at USD4,191.50 per troy ounce, equivalent to TZS357,841.05 per gram.
At the mineral market level, gold was valued at TZS322,056.95 per gram, while the indicative buying-centre price was TZS314,900.12 per gram.
For silver, the international market price was USD61.19 per troy ounce, equivalent to TZS5,223.98 per gram.
The mineral market price was set at TZS4,701.58 per gram, while the buying-centre price stood at TZS4,597.10 per gram.
Copper was quoted at USD6.63 per pound on the international market, equivalent to TZS38.83 per gram. Its mineral market price stood at TZS34.94 per gram, while the buying-centre indicative price was TZS34.17 per gram.
The indicative prices provide a reference for mineral transactions and reflect movements in international commodity markets.
The Mining Commission publishes mineral price information as part of efforts to support transparency in the trading of minerals and provide market participants with current price references.
