Former National Assembly Speaker and Uyole MP Dr Tulia Ackson has pledged to push for Government support to improve infrastructure at Iganjo Primary School in Igawilo Ward, citing the need for better learning facilities and additional toilets.

Dr Tulia made the commitment on Tuesday, August 18, 2026, during a visit to the school, where she inspected classrooms and other facilities and assessed the learning environment for pupils.

She said she would engage the Government on the school’s infrastructure needs, particularly the shortage of toilet facilities, which she said requires attention to ensure pupils have a more conducive and safe learning environment.

The visit also gave Dr Tulia an opportunity to interact with the school administration and assess challenges facing teachers and pupils.

Beyond Government support, Dr Tulia pledged to provide the school with a computer and printer in the near future to help improve administrative and educational activities.

The equipment is expected to ease the preparation and reproduction of teaching and administrative documents, reducing some of the challenges faced by the school.

The pledges come as schools across the country continue to require investment in classrooms, sanitation facilities and learning equipment to improve the quality of education.

For parents and pupils at Iganjo Primary School, the proposed interventions could help address some of the immediate infrastructure and learning-resource gaps facing the institution.
