Tanzania and the United States have reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening bilateral relations, with discussions focusing on strategic investments, healthcare cooperation, immigration and legal collaboration.

Attorney General of the United Republic of Tanzania, Hamza Johari, held talks with Mr Andrew Lentz, Chargé d’Affaires of the US Embassy in Tanzania, during a meeting held today.

The discussions reviewed progress on major US strategic and investment initiatives in Tanzania, as well as opportunities to deepen cooperation in the health sector and address immigration-related matters.

The two sides also emphasised the importance of sustained dialogue and closer legal and technical cooperation in addressing issues of mutual interest.

The engagement comes as Tanzania and the US continue to explore areas of cooperation that can support investment, improve public services and strengthen institutional ties between the two countries.

Both parties underscored the need for continued diplomatic engagement to advance shared priorities and promote a mutually beneficial partnership between Tanzania and the United States.
