The Chairperson of the Local Content Committee at the Mining Commission, Dr Theresia Numbi, on Tuesday appeared on Star TV to discuss opportunities arising from the fifth Local Content Compliance Forum (LCCF 2026) and its role in strengthening Tanzanian participation in the mining sector.
Dr Numbi was joined by the Director of Mineral Audit and Trade, CPA Venance Kasiki, during the live Tuongee Asubuhi programme, where they outlined the forum's objectives, expected outcomes and the benefits available to local businesses, suppliers and service providers.
The officials also highlighted the importance of complying with local content requirements to increase the participation of Tanzanian enterprises in mining value chains while promoting skills development, technology transfer and sustainable economic growth.
The live discussion, broadcast from Mwanza, forms part of efforts to raise public awareness and encourage wider stakeholder participation ahead of LCCF 2026.
