Mineral indicative prices for July 22, 2026

Tanzania's indicative gold buying centre price has climbed to TZS311,007.89 per gram, according to the latest mineral indicative prices released by the Mining Commission for July 22, 2026, reflecting continued strength in the global precious metals market.

The Commission's latest price schedule shows that gold was trading at USD4,148.30 per troy ounce on the world market, equivalent to TZS353,418.06 per gram. 

The corresponding mineral market price was set at TZS318,076.26 per gram, while the indicative buying centre price stood at TZS311,007.89 per gram.

Silver also maintained firm prices, with the global market quoting the metal at USD59.89 per troy ounce, equivalent to TZS5,102.38 per gram. 

The mineral market price was TZS4,592.14 per gram, while the buying centre price was TZS4,490.10 per gram.

For copper, the world market price reached USD6.48 per pound, translating to TZS37.86 per gram. The mineral market price was TZS34.07 per gram, with the buying centre price set at TZS33.31 per gram.

The Mining Commission publishes indicative mineral prices regularly to promote transparency in mineral trading and provide a pricing benchmark for miners, traders and licensed mineral buying centres across the country.

The indicative prices help small-scale miners negotiate fair prices for their minerals while ensuring greater consistency in transactions within Tanzania's formal mineral trading system.
