CCM Secretary-General Dr Asha-Rose Migiro has held talks with Norway's Ambassador to Tanzania, Ms Tone Tinnes, on strengthening bilateral cooperation, with discussions focusing on governance, democratic development and sustainable growth.
The meeting, held on July 15 at CCM's Lumumba sub-headquarters in Dar es Salaam, reviewed the longstanding relationship between Tanzania and the Kingdom of Norway and explored areas of mutual interest.
According to a statement issued by CCM, the two leaders discussed continued cooperation in promoting democratic development, good governance, institutional strengthening and sustainable development.
The talks also underscored the importance of maintaining close engagement between Tanzania and Norway as the two countries continue to pursue shared development priorities through long-standing bilateral cooperation.
Norway has remained one of Tanzania's longstanding development partners, supporting programmes in governance, natural resource management, climate action and other socio-economic development initiatives.
