Preparations for the eighth season of the Knockout ya Mama boxing event have been completed, paving the way for a high-stakes showdown expected to deliver intense competition and entertainment.
The much-anticipated fight night is scheduled for April 24, 2026, at the former Ubungo upcountry bus terminal grounds in Dar es Salaam.
Mafia Boxing Promotion Chief Executive Officer, Ally Zayumba, said all logistical arrangements have been finalised, with participating boxers already signing their contracts and now awaiting their moment in the ring.
He expressed confidence in the fighters’ readiness, noting that thorough preparations by all contenders will raise the level of competition and make this season particularly exciting.
Preparations are progressing well and this will be an international event. We expect a unique and special contest, different from previous editions.
Zayumba also urged boxing fans and sports enthusiasts to turn out in large numbers, highlighting that tickets are already available for those eager to witness the action and support emerging talent.
