TISEZA partners with private sector to boost local investment

By The Respondents Reporter

The Tanzania Investment and Special Economic Zones Authority (TISEZA) has strengthened collaboration with the Tanzania Private Sector Foundation (TPSF) to promote investment and expand private sector participation, especially among local entrepreneurs, in the country’s economic growth.

The strategic agreement was signed by TISEZA Chief Executive Officer Gilead Teri and TPSF Acting CEO Deogratius Massawe, who urged domestic investors and business owners to take advantage of the opportunities arising from this partnership.

Through the collaboration, TISEZA and TPSF will work together in investment forums, business missions, and trade exhibitions both in Tanzania and abroad.

This will give local businesses access to capital, markets, partnerships, and connections with international investors.

The partnership also creates a formal platform for dialogue between the government and private sector, aiming to improve policies, laws, and regulations that foster a more enabling environment for investment and business. It further encourages collaboration between Tanzanian companies and global investors.

The agreement focuses on increasing active private sector involvement in investment projects, building the capacity of local entrepreneurs to fully participate in value chains, and ensuring timely access to critical information and services.

As part of the plan, TPSF will have representation at TISEZA’s One Stop Facilitation Centre to streamline service delivery and help both local and international investors access services more efficiently.
