A Tanzanian delegation, led by Selestine G. Kakele, High Commissioner of the United Republic of Tanzania (URT) to the Federal Republic of Nigeria, recently paid an official visit to Feratto Industries Limited, one of Nigeria’s leading manufacturers of polystyrene (styrofoam) products.

The delegation toured the company’s production facilities, gaining firsthand insight into its manufacturing processes, operational capacity, and diverse product offerings.

The visit also facilitated in-depth discussions between the delegation and Feratto Industries’ management on potential avenues for collaboration.

During the engagement, the Tanzanian team highlighted the country’s favorable investment environment, emphasizing government support for private sector growth, attractive investment incentives, and strategic opportunities within Tanzania’s Special Economic Zones.

The delegation also outlined potential benefits for Nigerian investors interested in expanding into Tanzania and the wider East African market.

Feratto Industries’ management expressed strong interest in exploring investment prospects in Tanzania, including the possibility of establishing local operations or collaborating with the Tanzania Building Agency (TBA).

This visit is part of Tanzania’s broader strategy to strengthen trade and investment ties with Nigeria, aiming to foster mutually beneficial partnerships that drive sustainable economic growth and industrial development.
