Tanzania and Palestine discuss ways to strengthen bilateral cooperation

The Ambassador-Designate of State of Palestine to United Republic of Tanzania, Salam Abu Sharar, has met with Abdallah Kilima, Director of the Middle East and Eastern Africa Department, to discuss ways of strengthening diplomatic relations between the two sides.

The meeting, held in Dar es Salaam, provided an opportunity for both officials to exchange views on practical steps that could further deepen the longstanding relationship between the two countries.

During the discussions, the two sides emphasized the importance of maintaining close engagement and expanding cooperation in areas of mutual interest. 

They noted that the historical ties between Tanzania and Palestine provide a strong foundation for continued diplomatic collaboration.

Ambassador-designate Abu Sharar acknowledged the perspectives shared during the discussions, describing them as constructive and useful in guiding future cooperation between the two sides.

He also expressed appreciation to the Government of Tanzania for what he described as its longstanding and principled support for the Palestinian people and their cause.

Tanzania has historically maintained diplomatic relations with the State of Palestine and has consistently supported international efforts aimed at addressing the Palestinian issue.

The meeting concluded with both sides expressing the importance of maintaining dialogue and coordination as part of broader efforts to strengthen relations between the people of Tanzania and Palestine.
