Simba SC is set to return to training tomorrow at the Mo Simba Arena in Dar es Salaam as they gear up for the upcoming Tanzanian Premier League matches.
According to the club’s Media and Communications Manager, Ahmed Ally, the team will start its schedule by facing Coastal Union on April 2 at the Meja Jenerali Isamuhyo Stadium, followed by a match against Azam FC on April 5 at the Benjamin Mkapa Stadium.
Some players are still involved in national team duties, while others have already reported back to camp to prepare for these crucial games.
“Those returning to camp are the players not involved in national team duties. We gave them a break after our win against TRA United,” Ally explained.
He added that the league is highly competitive, and the squad is returning with renewed energy to ensure strong performances.
In a move to further strengthen the team, Simba SC has also announced contract extensions for three key players. Elie Mpanzu and Yusuph Kagoma have signed two-year extensions, while Rushine De Reuck has renewed his contract for one year.
“This is part of our strategy to maintain a strong squad and continue scouting top talent for the next season,” Ally said.
“These players are valuable assets. Replacing them, especially Mpanzu, during a busy transfer window would be difficult, so we secured them early.”he added
He added that the club continues to plan for further reinforcements to boost competition within the team and ensure Simba SC remains a dominant force in the league.
